Department at a glance

The Department of Biochemistry of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College is one of the most spiritual preclinical department in this medical college. Our highly qualified teachers (physicians) other staffs provides teaching for the first phase MBBS, 1st year BDS and Physiotherapy students and perform the latest diagnostic services in our Biochemistry service laboratory. We trained the technologist, they come from other institutes. We work closely with other departments throughout the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College.

Daily Activities in the Department

Biochemistry Department, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital provides laboratory services to the patients. We have excellent academic environment, well experience faculty members. We always try to record all the academic and laboratory information of the department. Our daily activities are as follows:

Lecture, Tutorial and Practical classes for 1st phase MBBS, 1st year BDS & Physiotherapy students are taken according to their academic calendar.

  • Almost all the biochemical test done in the Biochemistry service laboratory those who come from the hospital or outside of the hospital

The total number of patients attending in the Department of Biochemistry have been increasing day by day. Most of the patients coming to this department from different areas of Dhaka city and also few from other parts of the country. In 2015 a total of ……… new patients were given laboratory services.
